To provide the State-of-art knowledge to students in Civil Engineering

To impart practical knowledge and industrial exposure for thorough understanding the subject.

To provide multidisciplinary solutions to improve quality of life and the value of investments in infrastructure; and educational efforts that promote sustainability, eco-responsible design and environmental engineering.

• The Department of Civil Engineering has commenced B.E. Civil Engineering course in the year 2008 with an intake of 120 seats. B.E. Civil Engineering Tamil Medium was started in the year 2010 with 60 seats of intake. M.E. Environmental Engineering course was commenced in the year 2010 with 25 seats. In addition, the department offers Part-Time M.E. Course in Structural Engineering with 25 seats. Since its inception in the year 2007, the Department has conducted various workshops, a national seminars, national level technical symposiums and conferences.

• Apart from the regular teaching activities the departmental with its multifaceted faculty embrace more inventions and innovations. The Department has Civil Engineering association that organizes expert lectures, group discussions, competitions, and other activities for the all-round development of the students. The department has provided various consultancy services in construction, water resources, highway and other civil related projects.
